​I’m Alexis Tamez, DVM — a Texas native, lifelong horse lover, and equine veterinarian who somehow turned my love of horses and agriculture into a career. After earning my DVM from Texas Tech University as part of the inaugural class, I followed my passion for equine medicine and surgery to 113 Equine, where I’m now a Surgical Fellow. I love the challenges that accompany surgery and performance horse medicine, but most of all, I love getting to know the horses and the people behind them.
